2PM / 2PMT Russian-Standard Circular Connectors for Industrial Electrical Equipment

Application

A Russian customer required a Russian-standard circular connector solution for industrial electrical equipment. The connector needed to support reliable equipment-to-cable connection, stable signal transmission, and convenient installation during equipment assembly, operation, and maintenance.

Challenge

The customer’s equipment interface needed to be compatible with Russian-standard circular connector structures. The project involved different contact counts, shell sizes, plug and receptacle combinations, and cable outlet requirements. The customer needed technical support to confirm the correct model code, contact type, mounting style, shielding shell option, and backshell configuration to avoid mismatch during installation.

Connector Solution

According to the customer’s requirements, we recommended the 2PM / 2PMT series circular connectors. The 2PM series adopts a threaded coupling structure and is suitable for electrical and electronic equipment connection. For applications requiring higher temperature resistance, the 2PMT series can be selected.

Our technical team helped the customer confirm the shell size, number of contacts, pin or socket contact type, plug or receptacle structure, shielding shell option, and contact plating requirement. Straight shielded plugs, straight non-shielded plugs, panel receptacles, 90° angled plugs, and sealed receptacles can be selected according to equipment structure, wiring direction, and installation space.

Result

The final connector solution helped the Russian customer complete model matching efficiently and reduced the risk of installation errors caused by incorrect connector selection. With threaded coupling, flexible contact arrangements, stable electrical performance, and multiple mounting structures, the 2PM / 2PMT series provided a practical and reliable interconnection solution for the customer’s industrial electrical equipment.
